QE Engineer (Brazil)
About the Role
FileCloud is looking for a highly motivated and experienced QE Engineer to join our team in Brazil. This role will involve creating test cases, preparing test data, maintaining quality in sprints, ensuring product is defect free and delivering a positive user experience. The ideal candidate will have the ability to think outside of the box and come up with creative ways to test. This role is remote and will require working remotely with other team members.

FileCloud is a hyper-secure EFSS (enterprise file sync and share) platform that provides industry leading compliance, data governance, data leak protection, data retention and digital rights management capabilities. FileCloud is a leader in content governance and collaboration for unstructured data, trusted and used worldwide across Global 1000 enterprises, educational institutions, government organizations, and service providers. In addition to its enterprise file sharing solution, FileCloud’s product portfolio also includes Signority (acquired in May 2024), a Canadian-based e-signature and document workflow platform. We are currently expanding our team as we grow and improve FileCloud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the QE Practice Lead to create comprehensive test plans that outline the testing scope, objectives, and strategies
- Develop detailed test cases based on requirements, functional specifications, and user stories
- Execute test cases to validate software functionality, identify defects, and ensure that the software meets quality standards
- Perform Sprint testing to validate new code changes and perform stress testing of features as per impact analysis
- Document defects found during testing in a clear and structured manner and report into defect management tool
- Manage test data and ensure its availability, relevance, and consistency for testing purposes
- Test reporting and metrics
- Collaborate with cross functional teams
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software quality engineering
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience using test and defect management tools
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Experience with automation testing is a plus
- Set up and maintain test labs with multiple testing environments
- Reproduce reported customer problems to help developers troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues
- Knowledge of testing on both Linux and Windows operating system
- Basic understanding of API’s
- Knowledge of CI/CD
- ISQBT certification is a plus
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
